I love the Eagles. Don't get me wrong. But if there is one thing that they don't realize, it's the fact that one thing is more important than a good defense and a good offense (which they already have.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't part of football being able to adapt to something different?
Last week was the heat. Totally nailed McNabb that he yaked on the field. This week, the wind. How can easily the best QB in the league at home bend over and take it hard by the wind. It was mad windy, yes. But not even one touchdown? Not one. Zero. Come on Donovan. You are better than that!
So I pose a topic of discussion. What is the Eagles weakest element. I'm going with the inability to adapt.

It's time management. Week after week, Philadelphia manages good comebacks once they've sized up their opponents. But when it winds up being tight, they don't know how to manage a fucking clock. I wasn't watching the second half today due to travel but they some how blew all three of their time outs before the two minute warning. They can get the job done, they just don't know how to effectively manage it.
Stev said it. Clock management is how less flashy teams like the Broncos and Patriots are doing much better. Ever since the Super Bowl when they slummed through the last quarter with a half-assed approach, they've been terrible. Yesterday they showed no hurry making a comeback, and even if they had covered that onside kick, they left themselves only like 30 seconds (with no timeouts) to go 50 yards and get a touchdown, just to tie.
Not good.
Of course, last week, they let the Bucs in it with only 30 seconds to go, but that was just for a fluke field goal. Let's look how they almost blew the drive before, and they were just saved by Westbrook breaking some tackles and makign a great play. They were dicking around on that drive beforehand.
And of coruse, the Giants debacle, there is no way they should have let them back in it. They had to make every mistake possible to lose that game, and they did.
And defensivley, the palyed a passive prevent D against he Saints and let them whittle down six minutes to end the game. At least start blitzing to make things happen. New Orelans showed them exactly how it's done.
And now, they're ina big hole.
