In my pre-Superbowl research for Levlane, I came across an article that called Manning "the biggest star in a Superbowl since Favre".
I think Elway and Brady would be pretty upset to hear this. (No McNabb, you shouldn't get upset).

Biggest media whore, maybe. Biggest advertiser. I think he's the guy who most non-football fans could name because he's on TV every five seconds.
But among football fans? I think Brady is more of an inside knowledge, as in, all football fans know he's great, but the general public may not. I guarantee more people know who Manning is across the world. Elway probably trumps him, but I don;t remember him in too many commercials. I don;t know.
I think Favre didn't reach superstar status until he started not being able to get back to the Super Bowl. Why pick him as the "since" mark? Might as well pick Aikman or Smith or Rice or Montana or O'Donnell. Seriously, or O'Donnell. (shut up)
