feck! (shoulda stayed true)

My reverse jinx skills finally ran out. The Colts did in fact have more than the Bears could handle. The real MVP of the game was the Colt's o-line, which gave Manning just enough time to complete some passes, and opened big holes for the running backs. But we're going to hear about Manning for years.... sigh.

The Bears have one guy, and only one, who can solve their quarterback problem:

He's no Grossman.

The ironic thing about the end of this season and how terribly my last few weeks of picks have gone is that I was right all along. Ever since the end of last year, I thought the Colts would come back much more serious, play through the disappointment, and win it all in a more low-key fashion. But through the end of the season, they looked like crap defensively, and I bailed on them. Then they finally came through. Go figure.

In my preseason predictions, I had the Colts winning the Super Bowl and the Eagles winning ten games and advancing one round in the playoffs. Who would believe the path it took for both of them to happen? I jumped off both of these predictions midway through the season. So perhaps I should stick with my gut feeling next time.

Maybe.

"I'm the punky QB known as Grossman."

Nah, doesn't have a ring to it.
